The Dream Junction Announces its First Direct to Garment Printer
[ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, January 17—] The Dream Junction and 240 Tech have released their first industrial direct to garment printer, Ovaljet. Leveraging 40 years of experience in the digital printing industry, the Ovaljet was designed from the ground up as the perfect solution for a high volume drop ship printing, leveraging 40 years of print experience the one-off nature of digital prints at silk screen prices.
The Ovaljet’s patented assembly line technology moves each garment through a carousel of automated stages that pretreat, dry, and heat press garments in one smooth motion before feeding them into a two stage, temperature & humidity controlled print cabinet. This allows one operator to achieve full color, full size 100% digital prints at speeds never seen before in direct to garment.
A huge disruption. We’re bringing something to market that costs less- moves faster- and creates more vivid prints than anything else.
-Kris Friedrich, Director of Research and Development
Our Ricoh Gen 5 print heads also save print time with a custom implementation of enterprise RIP Software. Which uses the fabric’s color as a background offering a faster, more vivid print with lower ink costs and a supremely natural hand feel.
Finally, our proprietary inks and consumables are optimized for the Ovaljet’s curing process and are specialized to not only be friendly to the environment, but also deliver an increased saturation to bright, vivid colors like deep reds and yellows that have traditionally been difficult to reproduce on DTG prints.
This increased color fidelity and range make the Ovaljet a prime candidate for licensed apparel printing and instances where the brand has to be perfect.
